Role overview:
Working for a major UK Managed Service Brand, the purpose of the role is to drive sales of 3rd party software licensing, technology design/implementation professional services, asset management services and IT managed services into an established territory of spending customers, using a defined Solution Sales methodology. The role is responsible for broadening the solutions sold in to the territory through upsell and cross-sell activity, in addition to the retention and growth of existing profitable contracts. You will be responsible for raising the breadth and seniority of engagement with key stakeholders in each account.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- To deliver against the agreed GM new business target
- Build and maintain a strong and accurate pipeline
- Deliver forecast accuracy +/- 10%
- Territory planning and coverage for focus markets
- Maximize opportunities across all GTMs within each new account/prospect
- Directly reporting to a Sector Sales Director, strong relationships are required with internal colleagues and the ability to manage virtual teams across partners and software vendors.
Pre-requisites:
- 4 years proven account management experience in a field based role
- Ability to present and articulate a sophisticated, multi-layer value proposition
- Experience of operating in a Solution Sales environment, preferably selling Managed Services
- IT Managed Services, Software Asset Management, Software Licensing knowledge and experience is preferred but not essential
- Degree educated
- Highly driven and pro-active self-starter
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communications skills
- Passion to assist customers achieve their objectives
- Highly numerate and strong commercial understanding
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Team player
- Process oriented with strong attention to detail
