Role overview:
Working for a global MSSP & Professional Services Company as a Project Manager you will be assisting and guiding customers during onboarding, transition and professional services projects delivering across the breadth of the company’s portfolio.
The role of the Project Manager is to provide the governance, structure, process and critical challenge for these projects and to report on progress, key issues and risks to enable key decisions and actions to be taken in a timely manner.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Leading on complex delivery projects delivering and managing the teams managing the networks, platforms and systems in support of the customer mission
- Improving customer experience by delivering these services to the agreed contracts / requirements to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction, revenue and margin
- Work to continually improve performance and efficiency through technological and process innovation
- Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and that lessons are learned and recorded to improve future project delivery
- Ensures engagement and involvement of stakeholders throughout the project, verifying that outputs meet the required standard, and facilitates effective working relationships between team members
- Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement and communications plans, and quality and performance criteria with project partners
- Manages costs, timescales and resources, assessing and implementing changes where variances from the plan occur, and identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project, ensuring compliance to contract terms and conditions and escalating where necessary.
Pre-requisites:
- Excellent project management experience demonstrating the above responsibilities and tasks in a similar business.
- Proven track record of managing of diverse teams in a highly pressured environment.
- Solid experience delivering to technically adept customers.
- Be confident in the shaping and delivery of work using milestone-based planning and control or agile approaches.
- Demonstrable experience working in the development of solutions for cybersecurity, business intelligence, communications or information security.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexible and able to travel nationally (with some potential travel internationally).
- Holds the Right to Work in the UK, without the need for sponsorship.
- Meet the criteria to gain SC Clearance.
The below are highly desirable:
- APMP and/or PRINCE2 qualifications.
- SC Cleared.
- Experience of public sector project management.
- Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and ensure they are completed to a high standard, with attention to detail and driven to achieve high standards.
- Maintains and presents a positive and professional attitude, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Enjoys collaboration and team camaraderie.
- Is a naturally confident presenter with sound ability to engaging with both technical and non-technical resources, recognising the need to adapt and tailor style to suit the audience.
